When you install an OS 'upgrade' of Windows over an existing Windows version, key file structures may exist that are not compatible with the new Windows version. This will be a very poor, inaccurate explanation, but it highlights the main idea (poorly): So basically something new happened this time after the permission change with the 55 mb download but then back to square one so what now? I didnt quite understand what setting permissions to everyone means but when i opened the security tab of these folders i found 4 user entries 2 of them (system and administrators) had full control while the other 2 (users and authenticated users) didnt have full control so i gave them full control, not sure if that is what u meant by 'everyone' but after i did that something different happened.the verify/repair option decided downloading 55 mb instead of the usual 0.7 mb but when i launched the game, the exact same problem happened, went back to verify/repair again and we r back to downloading the 0.7 mb every time again with every repair/verify and the game still giving the same service interrupted message after downloading card definitions every time. Uninstalling and reinstalling and launching both galaxy and gwent as administrator didnt work.visual c++ 2013 for 86 and 64 are up to date not to mention i never had problems running gwent before the last patch.now visual studio 2013 on the other hand i never had that installed before and gwent ran just fine Thanks for ur answer but actually right now i dont care about the dust anymore i just want the game to work because it doesnt seem i'll be able to play this again I have sent a message to support already but I would really appreciate if anybody could give a quick tip to enable me to access the game before the allowance period for milling nerfed cards for full cost expires because I dont want to miss that

I downloaded the patch successfully, but every time i try to log into the game the client doesnt pass the 'downloading card definitions from server' phase and gives me a 'service interrupted plz verify ur connection' message.repeated the process several times, same error message.closed gog galaxy and relaunched it.tried verifying and repairing game files and every time i do it the client downloads 0.7 mb and if I do it again it downloads 0.7 mb again and again but still if i log in same problem.fully uninstalled and reinstalled, still the same problem, tried running both gog and gwent as admin, turned off windows defender and firewall, still the same problem.i just cant access the game any more and would like some help
